Music Themed Cupcakes

I made these musically inspired cupcakes for the good folk at the Commonwealth Bank who are having a little "Grammy" music inspired get together. I hear there is a red carpet to parade down and I'm sure there will be some great costumes. Enjoy your evening and I hope the cupcakes make it a little sweeter.

The decorations on the cakes are all edible. Musical notes, sheet music and some tiny Grammy look alike trophies. Cupcakes are Vanilla and Raspberry and Dark Chocolate with vanilla butter cream.

Pretty Little Cake

I made this cake to take to work yesterday for afternoon tea to help celebrate Karen's birthday. Everyone made some goodies we hope you had a fantastic birthday Karen.

This little cake is a 6 " { that's 15 cm } diameter and stands about 25 cm tall. Perfect for afternoon tea. It is lemon and coconut filled with lemon curd and vanilla butter cream. Then covered with more vanilla butter cream, so you only need to have petite slices. A little fondant cherry on top works nicely.

This pretty little cake looks great on a sweets table with an assortment of other goodies to indulge.

Matching cupcakes and decorated cookies along side would certainly please all of your guests. Contact me if you would like to try one for yourself.

Cupcakes for Cerebral Palsy Association

These cupcakes were ordered for a function hosted by the Centre for Cerebral Palsy. I adopted their logo onto the cakes, I hope the meeting went well.

Giant Cupcake

Now we've all been told size doesn't matter but well quite frankly I think we have all been fooled or at least lulled into a false sense of security because the truth is ladies and gents when you happen across something good ,even great, BIG is most definitely BETTER.

This is what I like to think when it comes to cupcakes so tada the ultimate Giant Cupcake made for the wonderful Nicole to celebrate her 18 th birthday.

This luscious, largish babe sat rather coquettishly atop of a wonderful cupcake tower in all her pink beauty to be admired and imbibed. Happy 18 th birthday Nicole. I'll post some more pics tomorrow.

World Cake

Imagine being 21 again and getting ready to travel the world. Mmm remember that. Well anyway this was the theme of Hannah's birthday cake ordered by her lovely mum Sue. The world map is made out of fondant icing. I traced an outline from a children's atlas and sat down with my trusty scalpel and did a little bit of fancy cutting and voila... something like that anyway. Best wishes for your trip Hannah, you'll make memories for a lifetime.

Black and White Wedding Cake

This three tiered wedding cake is probably one of the simplest designs a bride could want for her wedding cake. That quote of, " less is more," seems appropriate in this case.

The design is simple yet elegant and the ribbon can be any colour to suit your theme.

Hummingbird Cake

This was a yummy Hummingbird Cake I made for the family and got a little carried away with the decorating. I was thinking it would look beautiful as a centrepiece for a baby shower and matched with these cupcakes would look very pretty. What do you think?

P.S. A Hummingbird Cake is made with crushed pineapple.
