A Belated Happy Easter
So Sorry that I haven't posted any pictures of what I have been making and I know Easter is but a fading memory, although we do have a couple of Easter eggs rolling around the fridge, but I couldn't resist showing you some examples of candy eggs I made and decorated. A cute Bunny is also on display.
To make the eggs you need an egg mould, mine was plastic and in two halves about 12cm in length and 7-8cm wide. Make up a candy icing, very similar to a modelling or gum paste. Make your two halves and let dry for a day or two. Then it's a simple case of joining the halves together with royal icing and filling in the gaps. Once dry the fun really begins and you can decorate to your hearts content.
I have some eggs I left undecorated and I am going to make a Faberge inspired cake later in the year, so they will be put to good use. In the mean time enjoy the pictures, and see you soon . Tammy x
