Christmas Wishes
Just a little note to wish you all a very happy and peaceful festive season. The ovens are turned off a little early this year and no more orders sorry until next year. Speaking of next year I have lots of plans some of which include launching a couture sweet little treats line. Think of decorated cookies, delectable melting moments, macarons and something special you can come back and hear about later. Big suprises in the making.
I will be taking orders from January 12 th 2011 so until then have yourself a very Merry Christmas and very best wishes for the New Year.x Tammy

Nourish
Last weekend I was involved in the launch of a cookbook for my kids high school. This wasn't a few pages of recipes cobbled together it is a fantastic bright modern collection of family oriented recipes beautifully bound and presented in a book that you would be proud to display on your coffee table.Last weekend was the culmination of a lot of hard work for a very talented and dedicated group of people and I am so lucky that I was able to be involved.
We photographed all of the dishes on a three day photo shoot with a professional stylist{ the very talented Claire Metcalf }a wonderful photographer Chris Huzzard and so many gorgeous mums from the school who helped out. It was a fantastic experience and I was so thrilled to be involved. Of course the whole project wouldn't have gone ahead if it wasn't for Vanessa Macknay {College Community Relations Officer }and her tireless work.
Thank you also to the core group of mums Kathy, Anne, Maria, Corri and another talented photographer Janine who put in so many hours of work. It was such a pleasure to meet and work with you all.
So how do you get one of the hottest cookbooks for 2010

The cupcakes shown are some that we used in a promotion to launch the cookbook.
Did I mention what a great Christmas present this would make... you simply must get your hands on one of these books x Tammy

Christmas comes early. These were some cute cupcakes I made for my dear friend Terese, who in turn ordered them for her ladies who attend her monthly workshops. Terese is a stampin up demonstrator and is wonderfully talented and always a source of inspiration as well as being a wonderful friend. Thank you Terese look forward to more workshops next year. x

Have My Cake and Eat It Too
Yes it's that time of the year again when you peer into the mirror very closely and think mmm... do I really look another year older.Well who knows the answer to that, but I do know that birthdays are special, it's your one day of the year to celebrate you.
What better way to do that, than to have the ones you love around you and of course a birthday cake and this was mine.
A triple layer of lemon coconut sponge filled with vanilla bean cream and then completely covered with butter cream.
I opted to leave the fondant off the cake as I really like the textured look of the butter cream and of course the simplicity of the design. This was a white lillium I made out of gum paste and a simple piece of grosgrain ribbon.
And how old am I?
The same age John F Kennedy ran for the U.S. Presidency and won.
Happy Birthday to anyone and everyone x

Bianca's 18th Birthday
Just what every girl needs a handbag cake you can eat.
Bianca chose this for her 18 th birthday bash which I'm sure was a huge success. The base cake was a 10" square chocolate mud covered in chocolate ganache and pink fondant with the handbag sitting on top, also chocolate mud. Entirely edible except for the handles which were tubing covered in fondant icing. I added the oriental liily as I thought it gave a nice elegance to the completed project. It's also made out of modelling sugar paste and unlike the real ones will last forever.
I think pink and black look great together and make a real statement.Happy Birthday Bianca enjoy being 18.x
Royal Show Cupcakes
I entered my cupcakes into the Royal Show this year. I don't think I have won any prizes but I hope they put a smile on the face of anybody who sees them.
For the competition you had to submit six cupcakes decorated in six different ways. The cases had to be removed{ mine weren't when this photo was taken} and they were to be tasted. I decided to bake my chocolate flourless cakes as I thought these would be the most moist when it came to the judging.
I'll let you know if I get any feed back and if anyone would like to order any replicas of these just drop me an e mail

Sally's Wedding Cupcakes
Just got back from Matilda Bay after delivering cupcakes for Sally's wedding. The venue has an amazing back drop of the Swan River dotted with sailing boats and the city scape in the back ground. The cupcake tower consisted of 90 elegant, classic, predominantly white cakes designed with a simple contemporary edge. I think they suit the event perfectly and I hope the guests have room to enjoy one after the champagne and canapes. If not they can always take home one of the individual gift boxed treats. It was a delight to make these cakes and I wish you every happiness Sally.

Stephanie and Marks Wedding
It was with great pleasure I made a cupcake tower for the wedding of Stephanie and Mark on the weekend. The cupcakes were a vanilla base decorated with a cream swirl and topped off with lilac coloured flowers. Mini cupcakes displayed on the top layer of the tower were adorned by an assortment of butterflies of varying sizes. The cutting cake was a 5" fruit cake covered in fondant and decorated to compliment the cupcakes.
The overall effect was visually very stunning and it was a delight to work with such a lovely bride who provided me with a wonderful design brief and then gave me some artistic freedom to come up with goods. The venue at The Blue Water Grill provided a sensational back drop and the room looked spectacular.
I have since heard the wedding day was celebrated by all and it was a truly wonderful event. My very best wishes to the happy couple and thank you for letting me provide your cakes on your very special day. Tammy xx
The little couple at the bottom of the stand are made of sugar paste and were supplied by the bride.

BIG BIG CAKE
Yes it was a grand cake of mammoth proportions. Eighteen eggs{free range of course} and well over a kilo of butter this baby was enormous. This 10" square Madeira cake was filled with lemon flavoured butter cream then covered with fondant and decorated for Mickey's sixtieth birthday. My favourite thing about this cake was making the number 60 out of sugar paste and then drowning it and my kitchen in vibrant, bright blue, sparkling, edible, food grade glitter. Get the picture. Worth the effort however as it gave the cake that wow factor.

Flowers Flowers
Just a quick look at some flowers I have made recently out of sugar paste. The Oriental Lilly are a personal favourite and look magnificent on a tiered cake. Flowers can be made in any colour of your choice and really provide that wow factor. Sorry about the poor presentation they were still drying when I took the snap.
The other picture shows off a collection of frangipani's also made from sugar paste and I know it's totally OTT but I was given an assignment to think of an imaginative way to show case the flowers and that is what I came up with. Once again the frangipani can be made in any colour you desire.
Have I mentioned how stunning these would look on a cutting cake ... enough said enjoy.
